The Mokaflor DECAFFEINATO (decaffeinated) coffee has the classic aromas of Mokaflor’s arabica blends but without any caffeine. The decaffeination process doesn’t leave any chemical residue in the cup. Furthermore, the decaffeination process removes all waxes from the coffee bean’s surface and is therefore good for our sleep and our stomach.

For this evaluation, this coffee was tasted in espresso at 92°C (in order to alleviate any bitterness and roughness which might emerge), according to an extraction of 25 ml in 23 seconds. The average degassing of the coffee took about 60 hours.
Let's start from a simple fact: caffeine itself doesn't have any organoleptic notes. Therefore, a decaffeinated coffee, if prepared correctly, can't be distinguished from the same non-decaffeinated coffee, except by comparison or only be a few coffee experts.
In this case we have a hazelnut colored crema in the cup with light notes of toast and cocoa. The coffee is balanced in the taste, without any overwhelming sensations and has an interesting body. A great coffee to enjoy in the evening.
