A coffee born in the heart of one of the most suitable areas of Honduras for specialty coffee production. Finca La Reina is located in the Las Flores area, in Marcala, in the department of La Paz, where altitudes between 1,500 and 1,600 meters, mild temperatures throughout the year, and rainfall of around 870 mm create an ideal microclimate for cultivating high-quality coffee. In these conditions, the cherries ripen slowly, allowing for a more complete development of sugars and aromatic precursors.

The farm is family-run, with a production approach focused on direct control of every stage of the supply chain. From plant management to harvesting and processing, each step is carefully monitored to ensure consistency and quality. The agronomic practices adopted are oriented toward environmental sustainability, with targeted and selective interventions that respect the soil and the natural balance of the ecosystem. The hand selection of the cherries, picked only at the right level of ripeness, is a key moment in defining the final cup profile.

The cultivated varieties, including Icatu, Obata, IH90, and Geisha, reflect a precise choice aimed at combining agricultural yield, resistance, and sensory quality. This varietal diversity makes it possible to obtain a complex yet coherent profile, while also maintaining production stability even in variable climatic conditions. The natural process is managed with particular care during the fermentation and drying stages, which are essential for preserving the integrity and cleanliness of the coffee. Drying takes place under controlled conditions, promoting a gradual reduction in moisture and proper stabilization of the bean. The result is a lot that achieved an SCA Cupping Score of 86 points, confirming the quality and precision of the entire production process.

In the cup, this coffee stands out for its balanced structure and soft sweetness, accompanied by a citrus-like freshness that brings liveliness without becoming intrusive. Notes of ripe fruit emerge, such as blueberry and plum, together with sweeter hints of honey. The finish is clean and persistent, with a harmonious sensation that reflects the care and precision behind the entire production process.

This is a coffee that authentically represents the agricultural work of Marcala, where terroir, varieties, and careful management come together to express a clearly defined and contemporary specialty identity.
