Mugshott is a portable espresso maker designed for those who want to enjoy an espresso anywhere: at work, while camping, or wherever a traditional coffee machine isn’t available. Thanks to its compact and sturdy design, Mugshott is easy to carry and simple to use. It measures just 7.6 cm in diameter and 24 cm in height, weighs only 752 grams, and is available on Caffelab in the elegant taupe finish called "Storm."

Mugshott was born from the passion of Alec, a traveler and coffee enthusiast who wanted a truly effective portable espresso machine to enjoy high-quality coffee anywhere. Unable to find a solution that offered control over temperature, pressure, and extraction, Alec decided to design a machine capable of delivering the same quality as a professional espresso machine. Mugshott is designed in the Netherlands with great attention to design, technical precision, and material quality.

This portable espresso machine is compatible with both ground coffee and standard capsules (such as Nespresso), offering flexibility. Temperature and extraction settings can be adjusted via a Bluetooth app, allowing you to select the coffee type (ristretto, espresso, or lungo), the water temperature up to 96 °C, and the pumping profile (bloom, wave, or flat).

Thanks to the 18-bar pump, Mugshott ensures high-quality espresso anywhere, with a rich crema and intense flavor. The maximum capacity is 110 ml, ideal also for longer coffee styles.

The 9,600 mAh battery allows you to prepare up to 9 ristrettos, 7 espressos, or 3 lungos on a single charge, which takes about 3.5 hours via USB-C. Mugshott can be charged using both home sockets and 12V car sockets, although it cannot be used while charging.

Maintenance is easy: simply add a descaling solution to the water tank and start a cleaning cycle by holding the button for five seconds without heating the water. The included adapters make switching between ground coffee and capsules simple, but it is recommended to use only the original adapters for best performance.

Preparation times are quick: about two minutes for a 40 ml espresso and around six minutes for a 110 ml lungo. For the best espresso experience using ground coffee, we recommend grinding the coffee fresh each time, even with a manual grinder, to preserve the aroma.
