Everything you want to know
In the heart of Guatemala, on the highlands of San Martín Jilotepeque, this remarkable lot of Red Bourbon Natural is produced at Finca Catalán de Las Mercedes.
The farm carries on a long family history connected to coffee, dating back to 1851, in a region where altitude, cool climate, and fertile soils create ideal conditions for slow and even cherry ripening. Here, coffee grows between 1,800 and 2,200 meters above sea level, developing a deep, sweet, and complex aromatic profile.
The Red Bourbon variety, processed using the natural method, delivers an intense and distinctive cup. On the palate, notes of raspberry, gummy candies, and fruit juice emerge, accompanied by elegant sweetness and bright acidity. The body is creamy yet light and juicy, with a clean and pleasantly fruity finish.
This coffee is designed for those who love lively, sweet, and modern aromatic profiles. It is ideal both for filter brewing and for those looking for a fruity and highly expressive specialty espresso.
When evaluated according to the SCA cupping protocol, this coffee scored 88 points.
