Everything you want to know

The Kamira is an innovative manual coffee maker designed to deliver a creamy espresso with a rich taste, enhancing the full aroma of the chosen blend. Thanks to its stainless steel structure and extraction system without complex mechanisms, Kamira guarantees a full-bodied and velvety coffee, with a dense and persistent crema.

Its large stainless steel boiler allows water to heat up quickly, ensuring an ideal and consistent extraction over time. Perfect for home and office use, Kamira is also an ideal companion for travel, camping, and boating, as it works with any heat source, including gas, electric stoves, induction, and glass-ceramic cooktops.

Kamira was born from the ingenuity of Nino Santoro, who, after experimenting with and discarding various electric coffee machines, asked himself a simple question: "Why can't a good espresso be made directly on the home stove?" From this intuition, the Kamira System was created, an artisanal extraction method that allows for a high-quality espresso without the need for wear-prone components.

Thanks to its fully stainless steel construction and the total absence of seals and valves, Kamira offers stability and durability, ensuring a consistently creamy and full-flavored espresso.

Its design, free of valves, seals, or springs, makes Kamira extremely durable and easy to maintain. The curved, heat-resistant handle ensures a stable and secure grip during use.

How to Prepare the Perfect Coffee with Kamira

  1. Fill the reservoir with the desired amount of water:
    • Half reservoir for a strong espresso
    • Full reservoir for two coffees or a longer coffee
  2. Grind the coffee to a consistency similar to that for a moka pot.
  3. Place the ground coffee into the portafilter, distributing it evenly without pressing it down.
  4. Clean the edge of the portafilter to ensure a tight seal.
  5. Attach the portafilter to the Kamira and lower the lever to allow water to enter the boiler.
  6. Turn on the stove to medium heat and wait for the extraction to begin.
  7. When the crema starts to form, slightly lower the heat to control the flow.
  8. Turn off the heat when the cup is filled a little more than halfway (including crema).
  9. Release the pressure by slowly lowering the black lever before removing the portafilter.

Caution: Never leave Kamira unattended on the stove. After brewing, always release the pressure before removing the portafilter to avoid dangerous splashes of hot coffee.
