When it comes to home espresso machines, Rancilio Silvia certainly has some great reviews. Not only has it been on the market for over 20 years, but also because of its high quality and efficiency.

This brand new Silvia Pro version, is aesthetically very similar to the Silvia V6 version, but with a few new features. The size stays similar, but the performance and functionality are enhanced.

The Silvia Pro has a Dual Boiler. This means, that it has two separate boilers: one for up to 300ml espresso and one for the 1lt steam. This allows the barista to froth the milk simultaneously while extracting the espresso. Both boilers are equipped with PIDs that monitor the temperature to the degree which you can control through the digital display. The steam boiler can easily be switched off if we don't need to froth the milk and saves energy.

Through the digital display it's possible to start the automatic cleaning program of the machine (to be done by inserting the appropriate products and the blind filter), to program the machine to switch on after a certain number of hours, and to switch it off after a certain time of inactivity. This allows you to save energy and have the machine hot when you wake up and not have to wait 10/15 minutes for the brew groups to heat up.

In case of long periods of inactivity, there's a function that allows to empty the boilers in order to limit limescale deposits. The timer that starts as soon as the supply is activated is great to always have a fundamental water parameter under control during the extraction.

The 4-hole steam wand and constant steam pressure allow you to froth the milk perfectly and easily. The grid under the cups is height adjustable to perfectly fit different sized cups and glasses.
