The Chiaroscuro flavored coffee blends are made with Indian coffees of the Mysore and Plantation varieties. Thes ecoffees are full-bodied and intense, characteristics which we believe support the aromatization very well. They also have a low acidity, which will therefore not affect the creamy taste of the flavored coffee.

The beans are roasted medium-light. Too dark roasting would make the taste very strong by covering the flavoring, while a too light roasting would not allow the bean to be properly flavored. The flavoring phase takes place by spraying essential oils on the still-warm beans immediately after roasting. The spraying and the subsequent amalgamation of the perfume last about thirty minutes. These essential oils have the great advantage of not hiding the flavor of the coffee and of manifesting themselves only in the aftertaste, leaving the typical and very pleasant sensation in the mouth.
